I produce a variety of pottery, usually a mixture
of wheel thrown pieces with hand built decorations. As you
can see from the examples shown on this site, my decorations
tend to the colourful and whimsical. As you browse through
the examples here, do keep in mind that in addition to what
you see I frequently produce custom pieces.
I have enjoyed doing ceramic commission
work for the past 16 years for private individuals, small
groups and corporate clients. Some of my past commissions
include:
- Ceramic Trophies, for the "Reach for the Sky," International
Trampoline Festival,
- Commemorative award platters for the outstanding volunteers
of the North Toronto Green Community,
- A commemorative Mother Goose teapot for the founding member
of the Mother Goose Society,
- Thank you gifts from the bride and groom for their wedding
parties,
- A complete bridal registry including dinnerware and tea
service and home accessories (lamps, knobs, bath), for a
couple in Toronto.
When I am commissioned to create a special piece I am
often asked to include a personalized inscription. This
is a nice touch. It can be as simple as a person's name and
the date or a favorite quote. Please contact me directly if
you need more information.
Cheers,
Karen.
